The service and surroundings were lovely, and it was very good value. The meal was excellent too, even though the kitchen staff were busy with a large group. We had quality beef from their own herd, tasty vegetarian moussaka and lovely desserts. We treated two friends to a Christmas meal at Moorcock on Monday evening. Thank you, Jo, Martin and Meg.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Moorcock, and the service was great. There were choices for everyone on the menu, and the food was lovely. The set lunch was really reasonable, at £15 for two courses or £18 for three.

We had a very good meal at the Moorcock, with good service and reasonable prices. We picked from the weekend specials: chilli bombs with salad and garlic mayo to start, lamb tagine for the main, then ginger sponge and ice cream.

The local beef and lamb Sunday dinners were generous, with lovely fresh veg, and the offer was great value. We’d stopped in during a bike ride and were greeted by friendly staff and about five smiling locals. I was so hungry I didn’t take any photos. Thanks, Moorcock, we’ll be back.

We felt at home straight away thanks to the really friendly staff. The meal at the Moorcock Inn, Eggleston was delicious and well-priced. A fantastic visit, highly recommend!
