The Teesdale Hotel

This was our second visit, and we’ll definitely be back. The staff were warm, friendly and professional, the room was comfortable and spacious, and the food was beautiful. The hotel is in a gorgeous part of the country, too. What more could you ask for?

The food tasted even better than it looked, and it was served really well. We were a group of eight, and the staff made space for all of us. The girl who served us was lovely, though I didn’t catch her name. Thanks to her. Prices were fair too.

The friendly service and attention to detail really stood out. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel welcome and nothing seemed like trouble. My room was spacious and comfortable, and I got four great nights of sleep after walking. I came for a few days over Christmas to walk and relax, and the Christmas dinner was first class. It’s a perfect base for exploring Teesdale and the High and Low Force waterfalls. The people, facilities and location were all first class. I’ll be back.

We booked at the last minute for New Year’s Eve and brought our dog, which was no problem at all. All the staff were amazing, including the lovely cleaners we chatted with the next morning. The owner was brilliant, and our dog loved their dog Luna. We had the set menu, which was unreal, and there was a great selection at breakfast the next morning. We can’t wait to come back.
