The Three Horseshoes Hotel

The bar and dining area have a really nice feel, and the staff are always pleasant. I've eaten here five times now, and the food has been tasty and reasonably priced every time.

The only issue was some noise outside the pub that carried on until after closing. We couldn't hear the pub itself, though, and knowing which rooms to avoid wouldn't put me off coming back. I’d recommend it 100%. We were there for two nights for a wedding nearby, and the friendly, helpful staff let us into our room early. Our standard room was clean and lovely, with a comfy bed, a huge bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, and an iron. Breakfast had a good choice, and dinner on our first night was really good and fairly priced.

The team looked after us so well, and the pint of Guinness was easily the best I've had in a long time. Four of us had a lovely family night away at The Three Horseshoes, Barnard Castle. The food was superb, the pub felt warm and welcoming, and the rooms were beautiful and stylish. We'll definitely be back. It’s clearly the place to be in Barnard Castle. See you soon, Eggnog Guy.

We asked for a walk-in shower and it was absolutely great. Breakfast was delicious, with loads of choice, and we enjoyed having it in the cosy dining room. We stayed one night on a B&B basis for a local wedding. I called a week before we arrived to ask if we could come early just to leave our luggage in the room. A well-run family hotel that we highly recommend.
