The farm setting is lovely, with plenty of character in the old building, picturesque land and animals around it. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. Breakfast was reasonable, though nothing special, and served at one large table with the other guests. The rooms were the letdown. They felt worn and needed attention, with a lot of cobwebs and noticeable dust. The shower head wasn’t working properly, and the only toiletries seemed to be leftovers from previous guests, including a used bar of soap. We also found that the resident dogs roam freely. Every dog we met chased and barked at ours, though none bit her. The B&B is advertised as dog-friendly, so this was disappointing. It has a peaceful, beautiful location and potential, but the cleanliness, upkeep and dog management fell short. We wouldn’t stay again.

We were able to properly relax during our stay at Hollimore Farm. The house was spotless, full of character and presented with care. It felt like stepping back in time, while still being comfortable and warm. The farm itself is beautifully kept, with rolling countryside views in every direction. Lady Caroline and Sir George made us feel at home from the start. They were thoughtful and accommodating with me, Neil and our little daughter, Harriet, and helped whenever needed without being intrusive. Their generosity and attention to detail made our visit feel special. Hollimore Farm has stolen our hearts, and we’ll always want to return. It was everything we hoped for and more. Thank you both so much.

We had such a good time over the Easter bank holiday weekend that we're already booking another visit. The price felt reasonable, and it was a brilliant weekend with friends doing the things we love. Caroline and George made it even better. It was refreshing to have hosts who were interested in us and happy to chat over breakfast. Please do talk with them if you stay, they have amazing stories to tell. We brought four dogs and two horses. Caroline was flexible about check-in and check-out so we could make the most of our time at the farm. She was genuinely excited to have our horses there, took us for a ride around the estate, and talked us through beach rides over tea. She also made sure we and the animals had what we needed, and lit a fire for breakfast each morning. George cooked a delicious breakfast. His poached eggs were good, but I’d recommend trying the scrambled ones. We stayed in Les Martin, which gave us good space for four dogs and was comfortable and warm. We liked that the old farmhouse kept its traditional style. There was a small tear in the bed throw and a few marks behind the curtains, as other reviews mention. They were still fit for purpose, and since it’s a dog room, expecting all the furnishings to stay brand new seems wasteful. Things get worn in our own homes too. Caroline is also great at finding places to eat, sunset spots and local things to do, with or without children. She takes an interest in what you want from your stay and offers lots of recommendations.

We spent three nights here in February and were greeted warmly, though it felt overpriced. The bedding was tired, the jar of coffee had gone solid, and the bathroom could have been warmer because the heated towel rail needed bleeding. Toiletries were basic, with no conditioner. Breakfast was fine, there were lots of books to read, and the internet worked well. We knew in advance that evening meals weren't available, though the online information made it sound as if they might be. It was a grey time of year, so we imagine the area would look beautiful later on.

We spent the late evening chatting over wine in the lovely gardens during a work trip. The setting was peaceful and private, and the owners were friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to eat. Breakfast was served at a communal table in the main house, with a hearty option as well as a lighter continental one. After I left my phone charger behind, Caroline called to say it had been found and posted it back to me.
