The bedroom cake was delicious, and so was breakfast, with lovely local produce. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotless, and the hosts are warm and friendly. Gorgeous B+B. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely be back soon. Thank you! x

Maggie made us feel so welcome and cooked a wonderful breakfast each morning. We had a fabulous stay at the lovely Poplars Guest House. The bedroom was huge and clean, and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. The house is amazing, it’s great value and in an ideal location. Highly recommend.

We had everything we needed, including tea, coffee and cake in the room. It was light and airy, with comfortable bedding, and the house and hosts were lovely. The garden was a nice place to sit in the sun, and breakfast was yummy. Thanks, Maggie and Saul, for looking after us so well. We’ll definitely stay with you again when we come to Barnstaple! Poplars is about a 20 minute walk from the town centre, which was really convenient for our short break. Saul was welcoming and helpful, and told us about his beautiful home and the area. The room had everything we needed, including a comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Each day Maggie left an unexpected treat, lemon seed cake and coffee cake. Thank you, Maggie. Breakfast was really good too, with plenty of good quality produce.

We’ve stayed here several times and have never felt more welcome anywhere. They look after you at every turn and make you feel like part of the family. Even the little touches stand out, like the smell of freshly baked cakes in your room when you arrive. I’d stay forever if I could. We’ll be back soon.
