The couple running the place were very friendly, I think. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and homely. The bathroom and toilet are shared, but I was amazed by how clean they were. In the room there was coffee, tea, cereal, and biscuits, enough to get the day started. There was toast bread outside, with butter and milk in the fridge. Free WiFi, too. I had a comfortable night and would definitely recommend it.

The ensuite room was basic but clean, and good value. There was enough for breakfast, with tea, coffee, and so on. One small thing made me smile. My partner and I booked at the last minute and arrived at 9pm. The bloke who greeted us looked surprised and said, “But you booked a DOUBLE room?!” I said, “Yeah, I know, mate. Is that alright?” It’s 2018. Couples come in all shapes, sizes, and manifestations. Two masculine regular blokes can be a couple. 😉

The garden is lovely, and guests are welcome to use it. The family running this guest house were really friendly, and the rooms felt cosy and homely.

A lovely family-run B&B in a good spot. It was clean, the service was great, and everything seemed better maintained than at Premier Inn.

Ideal if you're working in Barrow and only need a place for a night or two. Fantastic value for the price.
