The Old Barn

The village is only about a 5 minute drive from the airport, so it's a handy place to start or end a trip to Wales. Breakfast is self-catered, and the full kitchen comes stocked with coffee, tea, bread, cereal, eggs and other breakfast supplies. We loved staying here. It really is an old barn, with exposed beams and walls that made it feel like stepping back in time. The room was spacious, the bathroom worked fully, though there are a few tricks to the shower. Our hosts were kind and helpful, and their recommendation for the Blue Anchor Inn was fantastic.

The village is VERY friendly, and I'd recommend Penmark to any traveller. The Old Barn gave us a lovely authentic feel of Welch history, and the owners were very nice. They even washed our cloths for us, thank you again. Next door, Six Bells Inn had amazing service, great value for money and huge meals.

We loved the old-school feel of this place, it was awesome. My wife especially liked the shower. It's right next door to an amazing pub, Six Bells Inn, and possibly the most convenient place for any airport anywhere.

The cooked breakfast was lovely, and having a lovely pub next door was an added bonus. It's a fantastic place to stay, with everything you could ask for: a quiet village setting, comfy bed, clean facilities, and very polite, welcoming hosts. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
