The apartments are quiet and comfortable, with free WiFi and Sky TV. Booking was smooth, and self check-in worked fine. They’re nicely decorated, generally well maintained and have modern amenities like a washer-dryer, decent oven and microwave. At the relatively low price compared with local hotels, they’re great value. I’ll stay again. I was a little wary of there being no reception on site, but customer services reply to emails and have quickly fixed small problems like blown bulbs and damaged cables. Each apartment comes with just one key as standard, so you may want to ask for another when booking if that matters to you.

Getting in and out of the road during rush hour is ridiculous because of the college next door. Parking is appalling, and the codes to get around the property are a nightmare.

It’s in a great area, about a 15-minute walk from the town centre. There are two garages at the end of the road, open until midnight.

The apartment is spacious and clean, though it’s a bit far from the town centre.
