The only problems were the cold on our first night, when the heating had just been turned on, and having no toilet without a shower. That made mornings a bit tricky with a large group. We had a great weekend at the Admirals house, a beautiful building in a fantastic location. I’d definitely recommend it for large groups visiting the area!
The place is massive and full of character, and it’s really well situated in the heart of bath. Loved it. Highly recommend.
We’d definitely return. The house is gorgeous, with loads of space for a group, and it’s very close to the centre of Bath. Some areas felt really cold because of a heating fault, while the rest of the place was warm. A few parts are a bit shabby, but it’s still a stunning building.
The house worked really well for our family gathering, and inside it was clean and nicely presented. The housekeeper got back to us quickly whenever we had questions. Outside, though, it looked a little neglected when we arrived: the garden was very overgrown and there was rubbish in a corner of the front garden. The downstairs bedroom also had a damp smell.
We had a delightful birthday weekend, and getting to stay in such a historic, stunning venue made it a special experience. The woman who looks after the Admirals House was incredibly kind and attentive to our needs.
