The hotel is about an 8-9 minute walk from the centre of Bath, with shops, restaurants and attractions all close by. There’s no parking, but the instructions recommend both the nearest car park and a very budget-friendly option. The cheaper one is convenient too, with a bus to the city centre every 15 minutes. Our room was tiny, but still managed to fit what we needed: a mirror, hangers, bedside tables, a small table, kettle, coffee, tea and cookies, a heater, and a compact bathroom with a toilet, plenty of toiletries and paper, soft towels, and crisp, very white linen. There was hot water the whole time, which was nice in the chilly weather. I worried the road-facing window might mean a noisy night, but it was absolutely quiet and peaceful. The room felt cosy and cheerful. The hotel’s style is lovely, with carefully matched colours, artwork and elegant mirrors, and it was exceptionally clean and fresh. Downstairs, there’s a little table with fresh flowers, cookies, sweets and small milk jugs, with milk kept in a nearby mini-fridge. You can tell the people here put their hearts into the place. At first I was confused by the entrance and code lock, despite the detailed instructions. I messaged the staff member, who replied right away and patiently talked me through it. During the stay, the hotel was quick to answer every question and always helpful and welcoming. I came away with only warm memories of the wonderful people and their impeccable service, and the genuinely homelike, cosy atmosphere. Thank you so much!
The small touches in the room make it feel like stepping into Jane Austen’s time. I’m having such a lovely stay. Thanks for putting together such a beautiful experience for your guests.
The room was cramped, and the hot water was a real problem. There was none in the morning, and around noon, with no guests there, the pressure was still very low. I messaged the owner on WhatsApp. Alex said there was a lot of demand and nothing else he could do, which didn’t help. The breakfast room was closed, though fruit and a small fridge with milk were available by the entrance. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the centre, and the Bristol Airport bus stop is very close. The price was reasonable compared with other places nearby.
The little extras downstairs were a nice touch, with cookies, fruit and instant noodles available for guests. My single room had everything I needed, including an en-suite bathroom, kettle and a good choice of tea. I usually avoid hotel instant coffee because I’m fussy about it, but the drip coffee sachets here were much better, and I actually used them. The filtered water tasted great too. I loved the house itself, especially the decor and the paintings in my room. It’s easy to walk into the city centre from here. I’ve been in the UK for over two years and stayed in different cities, but hadn’t had an experience like this. I was so pleased with my choice. When I forgot my room name, management called me back quickly. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit Bath, and I’ve already recommended it to a colleague.
Everything I needed was in the clean, quiet room, including an en-suite bathroom, kettle, tea and coffee. I never met the owners or any staff, since we communicated by email, but they were kind when I accidentally damaged the room lights. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to friends.
