The Bass is the best around, with a good choice of drinks to go with it. This recently redecorated traditional pub has a small bar area with enough seats and lots of standing room. There's a pool table and a sheltered outdoor space. A warm, welcoming feel and a mix of customers make for a good atmosphere throughout.

It’s an easy walk into Bath town center, with a bus stop right at the door, a gorgeous Thai restaurant across the road and a convenience store seconds away. The staff were lovely and caring, our room was very nice and great value, and the locals were lovely too. Guinness was decent and the alcohol was fairly priced. We’d stay again.

The New Crown has everything you want from a good old local pub, whether you're passing through or live nearby. It's friendly, welcoming and fun, and especially good for dogs. Your four-legged friends get plenty of treats and toys, and each local pup even gets a Christmas stocking.

Char looked after us so well and was very hospitable during our two-night stay. The room was comfortable and well equipped. They don't serve food, but you can get snacks, and the ale was very nice. There are some nice cafes and shops nearby, and the River Avon is around a 15-minute walk away.

A chilled-out, really friendly pub with a great landlady. I'd highly recommend popping in for a good pint and a game of pool. Five stars all round!
