The Roseate Villa Bath

Cristiana and the whole team made us feel at home. They were warm, professional and attentive, and took such good care of us. We had a wonderful stay at The Roseate in Bath, with delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere and a truly special experience. We can’t wait to return.

My friend and I spent four unhurried hours at the Roseate Villa Bath for afternoon tea, and it was well worth it. We each chose the classic menu for £40, with a wide tea selection and no limit on orders. The Sencha and Lady Whistledown were so good that we asked about buying them and picked some up afterward. The food, from scones and sandwiches to the little desserts, was fabulous, and the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. It was windy but sunny in Bath, perfect weather for a classic English afternoon tea. If you’re in town and want a reasonably priced treat with friends, your mum or anyone else, I’d definitely give it a try. 🤗

The team were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is well placed for the city centre, about a 10-minute walk away. But it felt overpriced for what you get. The rooms are basic and don’t have smart TVs. We also booked afternoon tea, but waited an hour for the cakes and sandwiches. When they arrived, the sandwiches were dry and had little flavour.

Roseate Villa, thank you for giving us the retreat we needed. From my first call to book through our departure for home, the experience never disappointed. The building, rooms and location were superb, and the food was fabulous. Most of all, the people were perfect. Phenomenal people! You’re the best!
