Crowhurst Park

I’d already given my friends a Groupon spa day as a birthday present when I got an email yesterday saying the booking had been cancelled. The hotel had advertised and sold the package in February, with an expiry date at the end of June, so how could this happen? Groupon just said “sorry,” and the venue hasn’t said anything. It’s not about the money. I now have to apologise to my friends because the gift I gave them can’t be used. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated.

The staff are really friendly, always ready to help, and there’s a good range of food and drinks. It’s a great place for a family break, with things for kids of all ages. Little ones can enjoy the soft play room, while older kids have the pool and darts. There’s also a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. We’ll definitely come back.

We cut our break short after finding a urine stain on the mattress protector at Crowhurst Park. I can’t understand how housekeeping missed it while making the bed. The manager’s response was appalling. She suggested it might be “tea or coffee,” but it absolutely wasn’t, and the smell made that clear. I booked through hoeseasons, and thankfully they refunded me. Crowhurst Park showed no interest in acknowledging its standards or putting things right. After the way this was handled, I’ll never stay there again. Definitely avoid!

I had a head massage, a facial and an upper back massage at the spa this afternoon. It was amazing, and we all had such a lovely day. We’ll definitely be back.
