The Bear House B&B

We had a fantastic stay at Bear House B&B, and would highly recommend it. The location is idyllic, and there’s a wonderful inn next door, the Kingfisher Inn, with great local food, beers and an impressive garden for sitting outside. Sharon and Colin were fabulous hosts, and we hope to return. Book early to avoid disappointment! Our rooms were spacious, well equipped, spotless and very comfortable, with plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space. Both had spacious showers with great water pressure and lovely quality towels. We slept like babies. Breakfast was amazing. My husband’s full cooked breakfast could easily be called the King of Breakfasts, a work of art. We’re in the Highlands of Scotland, and I joked it could fuel the trip to Orkneys without a stop. Colin makes gourmet breakfast masterpieces. I usually just want something simple, like toast, butter and marmalade, and even that was wonderful: thick homemade sourdough, plenty of butter and lovely marmalade. Communication was excellent from the start, and we had a superb, friendly welcome when we arrived.
