The wine clearly matters to this pub, and as a beer drinker I was glad they had Harveys on tap, kept in good condition. The meal was delicious, beautifully presented and a lovely balance of flavours. They source their food from a local farm and elsewhere in Sussex. The quality was excellent and good value for money. We were a group of four celebrating a birthday, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Service was considerate and polite, with no pressure to move on to the next course. My wife and I enjoyed dining at the White Hart so much that we decided to come back soon for a date night.

The staff were warm and welcoming, service was good, and the food was nicely presented. There are amazing views from the dining area and outside too. But the portions were small and the prices high for what felt like average pub food. My burger was tiny and greasy, with just a small handful of fries, and cost £20. A can of zero Guinness was £6.50. Unfortunately, the food lets the place down at those prices. I won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful dinner, and the waiter knew the local wines really well. His recommendations were fantastic. We stayed one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room had a gorgeous countryside view, a comfortable bed and an amazing shower.

The roast was incredible, and not one of our party left a crumb. Knowing it was farm to table made it even better. Our waiter was fantastic, gracious and very knowledgeable. We booked for 11, including two non verbal autistic children, and the staff went above and beyond. The separate space called “the hide” was lovely, with views over the hills, and it gave the children room to run around. Highly recommend ✨

The meat was the highlight, especially the meaty Ribs and tender pork steak. Both were full of flavour, and it was the best meat we’ve had in a long time. The menu was select, but the prices were great. The pub is lovely inside and out, with a gorgeous view. We gave it a try and it was well worth it. We’ll be back!
