Ibis Budget Beaconsfield

The bed was comfortable, the room clean and the price good value. It’s a budget Ibis, so luxury isn’t what you’re getting. The bunk ladder rungs are painfully narrow, the toilet room is tiny, and the lower corner along the bunk’s long edge could use a bumper since it’s easy to hit your head on it. There’s plenty of choice for an evening meal at the motorway services, and it’s convenient for Heathrow if you have an early flight. In short, it’s a budget place with a comfy bed.

After my 12 hour shift, I checked in at reception. I’d already checked in online and said I’d arrive later, but the receptionist spoke down to me and said I was lucky my room hadn’t been given away. No greeting, no enjoy your stay. The rooms are noisy, and there’s no kettle unless you ask reception for one.

Our dog was welcome, which was great, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed very comfortable.

I’d requested a quiet room and was placed well away from everyone and the road, so I slept exceptionally well. Everything was well kept, the staff were very nice, and the stay was exactly what I’d hoped for. Very happy.
