We were lucky to visit during the warm, sunny Oakapple festival weekend. The village was full of activity, music, classic cars and smiling faces, and the locals at the excellent village pub were very welcoming. Broadwindsor is surrounded by beautiful countryside and only a few miles from the coast, with plenty to offer. Karen and Iain are thoughtful, discerning hosts who have created a superb stay. Their friendly approach, careful attention to detail, quality furnishings, homemade baking, and generous, hearty breakfasts all stood out. The property and rooms are wonderful, full of grace, charm and history. This top-quality B&B mini-break will stay with us for a long time.

Karen and her family made us feel so welcome, and we loved the delightful rooms and delicious food. We could only stay for one night, but we'd return in a heartbeat. One of the nicest B&Bs we've ever stayed in!

There were six of us and we had plenty of room. The B&B is spotless, the beds were comfortable, and we all slept well in the quiet, with windows looking out over the area. Karen was kind and incredibly helpful, with loads of local sightseeing knowledge, and she’s a fantastic cook. We enjoyed the pub across the road, the community shops and bakery, the cafe, and nearby walks. Beaches and other local sights were easy to reach too. We had an incredible stay and would absolutely recommend it.

The luxury lounge was a highlight, we played chess and tried some of the cocktails there. Our room and en suite were beautifully done, with lots of thoughtful touches. Karen was a lovely host and made the place feel like home. We also had a delicious cooked breakfast, then walked through the countryside before heading to Lyme Regis. A really lovely midweek break at the Old George. Thanks so much, Karen x

We were welcomed so warmly after a day out in the countryside. The room was lovely, and the village is wonderfully quiet, surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside. Karen was a perfect host, and the home-cooked food was full of flavour. Thank you.
