The food was amazing, just as we expected, and the team were fantastic too. Sylvana clearly loves what she does, and she’s a wonderful host. The stay felt much more personal and engaging than one at a bigger hotel. We had a fantastic time over Christmas, thank you very much!

We’re glad the lovely lady on the phone managed to fit us in early for Sunday lunch. The beef was perfectly cooked, the puddings were amazing, and the staff were attentive without overdoing it. Brilliant meal, we’ll be back and stay in a room next time.

We had the sharing platter for Sunday lunch. The service was excellent, and most of the meal was very nice, though some details weren’t to our taste: the vegetables were quite raw and the beef was quite fatty. The tap water tasted odd as well, and the part of the restaurant where we sat had a musty smell.

The Arrancino and Tagliata were so good I couldn’t get enough. The lunch menu was also brilliant value. We were a party of six, and the staff still put a table together for us even though they were getting ready for an event that evening. The room felt cosy and festive, and our server was lovely, attentive, and gave us the best service I’ve had in a while. We had an exceptional meal at the Ollerod and I’d come back in a heartbeat.

After a rude encounter at a pub up the road, the welcome from the Ollerod staff was especially lovely. The server kindly squeezed us in just before the dining room closed, and we were glad she did. The set menu was well priced, and the food quality was faultless, some of the best pub food I’ve had. It’s a very cosy pub and I’d definitely recommend it.
