The hosts made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. When I wasn’t feeling well, they kindly let us keep the room a little longer and offered advice about finding a doctor if needed. Every interaction was lovely, and you can tell they put their heart into running the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, dinner was delicious, and breakfast had a good spread alongside dishes cooked to order. We’d be glad to stay again.

We had a lovely walk with our Irish Setter by the river in the morning, and the view from the hotel was beautiful. It was a great one-night stop, with a comfortable room that had plenty of space for us and the dog. The hosts were welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. The bar area looked lovely, and we had a vegetarian breakfast the next morning. We’d booked a restaurant half a mile down the lane for dinner, so didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening. Highly recommended.

After a really tough year personally, staying here helped restore my mental health in a way I hadn’t expected. It’s such a peaceful place, tucked in nature with lovely views. The proprietor is warm and friendly, and a great cook and host. The amenities were excellent too.

The owners run the place themselves, and their service was super friendly. Our room was spacious, with stunning views of the surrounding hills, and the charming atmosphere made it easy to relax. No TV needed. The food and bar were great too. If you want somewhere cosy, quiet and friendly while travelling through the Highlands, this is a good choice. Rogie Falls and Loch Ness are among the nearby sights, with plenty of hikes around, and there’s lots of parking at the hotel.

Friendly, helpful owners and a bar that’s well stocked. The food was lovely, especially the fish and chips and scampi. It’s a traditional Scottish family-run hotel. There’s no TV, which may be a deal breaker for some, but the wi-fi was reasonable.
