The chalet was clean and tidy, compact, and had a modern en-suite shower and toilet. The heating was more than adequate, so I turned it down easily. There was a TV and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was basic and a bit beige for my taste. I’d have liked fruit or yoghurts, though I can understand the cost pressures at the moment. I booked because it said there was a kitchen, but couldn’t find one, so had to improvise for dinner. I saw the chef, but don’t know if he was also the owner, as the keys were left for collection. It was good enough for what we needed.

The garden was especially nice to sit in, with a lovely view. Great atmosphere and a lovely place to stay overall. We had a great experience and no real problems.

Loved the cosy cabin and the pool. Being able to go for a swim every morning was amazing. We also enjoyed having lunch at the outdoor picnic table and taking in the views.

The price was for one of the newer rooms in the extension, but we were put in an old room in the original house. The facilities need attention and an upgrade, and the poor customer service did nothing to make it better. Very expensive for what you get.

Snow made our stay feel especially Christmassy, and it's a lovely memory now. A quiet, romantic spot in a superb location. We had a perfect stay :)
