The location made it easy to get around, with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and generous, though the choice was fairly limited: cereal, yoghurt, juice, a full English with no vegetarian or vegan option, and eggs poached or scrambled. The juice seemed to come from cartons. The restaurant was closed over the weekend we visited. We had Room 4, the attic room, for two nights. It was clean and a good size, but a bit tired and ready for some refurbishment. The bathroom was spacious, with a bath and an electric shower over it. The bed was unusually high but comfortable, and we slept well the first night. The next night, guests next door shouted and slammed doors until the early hours. With no overnight reception or staff on site, there was nobody to deal with it then. We told the staff when we checked out. Even with the good location and breakfast, we wouldn't choose to stay again.

The staff were lovely, and the hotel dog was gorgeous. Our room was comfortable, and breakfast was nice, though we could have eaten more as it was on the small side. We had a four-poster room, with tea, coffee, chocolate and sherry provided. The hotel has a handy car park. We paid £170 for Friday night, breakfast included. It's a lovely, quaint place and we'll certainly be back.

Being right by the sea and in the middle of pretty Beaumaris made this a real treat. We found the hotel through travelzoo while planning to revisit Anglesey and North Wales. Hazel and the staff were outstanding hosts, and the cosy rooms had everything we could need. There are lovely places to sit by the fires, too. Breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and had lots of choice. We also had a superb meal next door at the Liverpool arms. Thanks, Hazel, we'll be back.

We loved our Valentine's stay. The room was clean, lovely and had everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and happy to help, including with directions for people who aren't local. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff kept checking whether we wanted anything else. The room price felt very reasonable for the area and its nearby attractions. Room 1 has a slightly short doorway, so anyone who's 6 foot has to duck, but we still had a great stay.

We only booked for one night at the last minute, so the four-poster room upgrade was a lovely surprise. It had the most comfortable bed I've slept in, lovely linen, chocolates, port, and a great selection of tea and coffee. Hazel shared fascinating details about the house's history. Breakfast the next morning was really, really good, and the waiting staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we'll definitely return. The location is great, right by the waterfront, with a lovely restaurant next door and a car park at the rear that's easy to reach.
