I hadn’t been here in 40 years, and we popped in after football on a Sunday morning. What a nice surprise: the decor and atmosphere were great, and the staff were excellent. The menu was appealing, the food superb and the prices unreal. Exceptional value for money. Definitely recommended.

The staff were a credit to the hotel, really friendly and pleasant, and the owner quickly dealt with a leak in one of our three rooms. The rooms were lovely, clean, tidy and recently refurbished. My only issue was a lukewarm shower. There was an excellent choice of beer and food in the bar, provided you like Pepsi rather than Coca Cola. All in all, a very nice place to stay.

Lunch here was lovely, and the staff were really friendly. The portions are huge, so arrive hungry. The chef must be some kind of potato whisperer, because both the chips and the mash were outstanding.

We’d never been here before, but after such a superb Christmas lunch and lovely staff, we’ll definitely visit again. Many thanks from all of us 💞 xxx

The food alone would bring me back to Beccles. Proper home cooking, generous portions, and that mixed grill with a pint of Jubel were great. I've stayed here for both work and pleasure, and the staff are so friendly. The cleaners are on another level too, everything was spotless. I'll definitely return.
