The wildlife and lake made this feel like a proper little escape. I loved watching geese and goslings, squirrels, and even deer moving across the lawns, with lovely views over the privately owned grounds. Mulberry Cottage is close to the main house, but has its own parking and outdoor area, so it still felt private. I did wish the seating and BBQ space had a bit more screening from the house. Inside, it was spacious, modern, welcoming, and spotless. The upstairs bedroom was especially nice, with a comfy king-size bed, countryside views, and an en-suite. The skylight did feel a little exposed at times because the house opposite could look across. It’s also handily placed just off the M5/A46, near shops and attractions, while still being in a quiet village. As a solo traveller, I had a relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful scenery.

We had a great three-night stay in Beckford with our two pooches, celebrating my 80th birthday. The cottage was very comfortable, and the owner, who lives next door, was quick to come over when a storm caused a power cut around 6pm on our first evening. He lit the wood burner for us, though the outage went on until 2am. When we got back from a day in the Cotswolds the next day, there was a bottle of wine waiting as a kind gesture for the inconvenience. A lovely stay, and I’d happily recommend Mulberry Cottage.

The welcome nibbles were a lovely surprise when we arrived. We really enjoyed staying in this cosy Cotswolds cottage, and the facilities were great too.

A comfy, slightly quirky cottage with a modern feel and a lovely view 😊

Third year staying here and we still love it. The garden is really big, dog friendly, and has a pond. Everything was clean and tidy, with all the comforts you’d expect at home.
