The bar was a letdown, with only a limited choice of beers and no wine or ice. On our recent stay for a family gathering, the room itself was fine, though there wasn't any loo roll 😄. Our previous visit had been great, and landlady Michelle was so welcoming and friendly then. This place has really gone downhill since.

The rooms were comfortable and good for the price, according to my family, who stayed overnight while visiting. We came along for an 80's night a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun. The beer garden was lovely, with loads of flowers, and it's dog friendly. I'd come back or recommend it for a place to stay.

Friendly staff, a great look inside, and a real open fire. Drinks are well priced.

We had a brilliant two-night family stay. The location was handy, right by the shops and only a short walk from Bedale Hall and the park.

It just reeks of raw sewage. The beer was good, though, so we sat outside 🤣
