Great atmosphere, lovely staff and fantastic food at Sunday lunch today. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t speak about the rooms, though I’d imagine they’re as faultless as the food. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent and attentive. For my Mrs and my twin sisters’ birthday weekend, we had a delicious Sunday lunch. The black cherry cheesecake had sold out, so we went for the brownie, almond cake and Bakewell tart instead. Lovely desserts.

That Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, and the food was lovely throughout our two-night stay at Laird’s House. The team welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home from the start. The owners were quick to answer our questions and shared brilliant local suggestions that made the visit extra special. I loved the tasteful interiors so much that I came away feeling inspired about my own home renovations. The event space is stunning, with its own private bar, and would be perfect for a wedding, birthday or other celebration. The accommodation was lovely too. Laird’s House is a real gem, and I can’t wait to come back for more gorgeous food and hopefully host an event there.

The menu in the restaurant was better than the one online, and we’d definitely return. Our lamb and pork were tender, with tasty vegetables and wonderful flavours, far from the boring standard sides. The staff were all efficient and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Excellent meal.
