Lin was really helpful by email before we arrived, answering questions and offering advice. We stayed in Heather pod for three nights in January 2026, and the farm was easy to find, though you’ll need a car. It’s a lovely setting, and the pod was clean and cosy. We brought our own food and drinks and cooked each evening. The kitchen had everything we needed apart from an oven, which we didn’t miss. The hot tub and log burner made it feel extra special, and Lin’s written guides helped us plan visits to Elan Valley and nearby towns. We’d happily book again.

The pod felt secure for our dog, which gave us real peace of mind. We spent Christmas and New Year there with my partner and dog, and it was just right. It was wonderfully remote and peaceful, with great walks nearby and stunning views from the hot tub. We were welcomed with a lovely hamper, the Wi-Fi worked brilliantly, and the hosts were fantastic. Nothing to fault, we’d highly recommend staying here.

The internet was brilliant, and the place was so peaceful. The cabin was immaculate, with a lovely hamper waiting for us, and the hot tub and log fire made it feel cosy and relaxing. Definitely 5 star, we’d book again.

The views are worth the drive along the farming lanes and up the dirt track. We had a great time exploring Wales and would stay again. Hefren Forest and Elan Valley are about an hour’s drive away and well worth visiting for the spectacular scenery. The pods also make a good base for exploring the area. They’re tucked away and isolated, so they’re a nice alternative to the farmhouse if you want peace and quiet. We saw amazing sunrises over the hills, with only sheep, lambs and birds for company. The downside for us was that two pods are close together. Our neighbours were nosey, and we felt watched constantly. The pod was clean and had the basics, but it isn’t a luxury stay. There’s a two-slice toaster, kettle, very small microwave, fridge and freezer. The bathroom is small, and the shower kept switching between warm and cold, whatever temperature we set. Maybe that’s due to the location. The bathroom mirror didn’t light up either. Those were the only real faults. It wasn’t easy to regulate the temperature with just a small electric heater or the log burner. A basket of logs was included, with more available to buy. There’s a small hot tub, plus an outdoor BBQ and fire pit. The furniture, decor and soft furnishings are a bit dated and worn, but being on a working farm rather than a big commercial property adds to the charm. Wi-Fi is available, though weak, which we expected out there.

We got lucky with warm weather, 29C, and sitting on the decking in the morning to watch the sun come up was brilliant. The views and surroundings are amazing, and evenings in the hot tub under the stars were a highlight. There’s also a fire pit and BBQ. The pod was fully equipped, and the owner could help or offer advice if we needed anything else. Prosecco, eggs and dog treats were a lovely welcome. The hob was handy for cooking breakfast. It’s great for a couple away for a week with a dog. We went to see waterfalls and hike a few trails, though shops are about a 30-minute drive away. Highly recommended.
