Thirdpart Farm

We didn’t want to leave this morning after our stay at Fox House last night. My husband and I were in the area for a nearby function, and Gary and Alison made us feel very welcome. The farmhouse sits in beautiful Ayrshire countryside, and the service was warm and friendly. Everything was spotless. Our bedroom was huge, with the comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in, and the bathroom was spacious and modern with a lovely shower suite. Gary cooked a fantastic full Scottish breakfast, and they were very accommodating. If we’re back in that neck of the woods, we’d happily book Fox House again. The setting is quiet and rural, and Alison and Gary made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfortable. A lovely place to unwind.

The host was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was a really good full Scottish. The modern rooms were spotless, with some original material preserved in the traditional building. You do need to drive a bit to get places, or walk, but otherwise it was lovely. There are one bedroom cottages with hot tubs too.

Breakfast was a real treat, all freshly cooked to order, and we all chose the full Scottish. You could tell the ingredients were high quality, unlike the cheap catering food you often come across. It was £8 extra each and well worth booking. We all slept really well in a well appointed room with a TV and tea and coffee facilities. After a long drive, we got a warm welcome at Thirdpart farm, whose entrance hall looks impressive with traditional wood cladding from floor to ceiling. They showed us the dining area and the table set aside for us before we settled in. We’d recommend the Blair a couple of miles down the road if you’re after an evening meal. We booked one night and were impressed from start to finish. Would we stay at Thirepart Farm again? Absolutely!
