Bullitt Hotel

The bar-like atmosphere was lively and trendy, with the place busy all the time. Food was great and the service was friendly and attentive. Best of all, the showers had the strongest water pressure we came across on our trip, which included three hotels in three different countries. It was an amazing stay.

The comfortable bed and good breakfasts were the bright spots, though breakfast could use more healthy choices. The rest of the place felt hostel-like, with very dark corridors. My room was awful: the window had a creepy vinyl image that looked like a man coercively controlling a woman, and it wouldn’t open, so I just wanted some daylight and felt claustrophobic. The fridge was so noisy I unplugged it at night, and the bar was expensive. I was there for work and hadn’t chosen the hotel. I wouldn’t come back.

The staff made a lasting impression. Everyone I dealt with was approachable and helpful, and when I accidentally left my charger behind, they offered to mail it back. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. They were also thoughtful and attentive about my food allergies. Breakfast was included and the best I’ve ever had, with plenty of variety and care put into the food. The restaurant felt five-star, and the coffee was excellent and generously provided. I was in Belfast for a conference, and the central location worked well for both work and exploring. Check-in was quick and smooth. The rooms were quiet and well soundproofed, so even with the lively atmosphere downstairs I slept peacefully. There are also plenty of nearby places to go if you want somewhere quieter during the day or evening. Everything about the stay was seamless. It was easily the best hotel experience I’ve had, and I couldn’t fault it. I’d gladly return.

The rooms are very small, but the location puts you right in the middle of the city's shopping, dining and drinking area, and the staff are amazing. Watch out with the parking app in Victoria under: I paid the hotel discount, but still had to pay full price at the gate to get out. The entrance is down an alleyway by the restaurant bar.
