Central Belfast Apartments: Cromwell

We had a good stay overall. The apartment was very large, clean and warm, and a travel cot and high chair were ready for us. It’s in a quiet, central area, close to Botanic avenue and its restaurants. City Hall is a 10 minute walk away, and the staff are very friendly. One warning about the key safe outside: there is NO EMERGENCY NUMBER. If the key isn’t inside, you’ll be stranded.

I felt very secure and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean and spacious, everything worked, and the kitchen was fully equipped, making cooking a pleasure. The owner was friendly and very helpful, replying immediately. It’s in a lovely area, about 15mins on foot from the centre.

The location and nearby facilities were really convenient, close to wherever we wanted to go. But cleanliness was the main problem, especially given that this was during a pandemic. The towels smelled bad, and the bathroom had stains and a bad smell. I tried cleaning it with detergents so the kids could use it. The apartments didn’t meet even normal cleaning standards, and I don’t think they were worth the money. I booked two apartments from Eden central apartments in Belfast, expecting them to meet the standards shown in the pictures on booking and the site. I’ve booked apartments online before and usually got what I expected. Next time I’d consider a hotel. I hope they take the cleaning issue seriously.

The staff were friendly, and the location was pretty good, near everything we needed, especially the train station. We booked two Eden Apartments and had high expectations from the reviews, but the hygiene was a huge disappointment. It felt like the apartments had only been tidied, not cleaned at all, despite the website saying they provide professional cleaning, sanitizing and disinfection. We had to clean very bad remains off the bathroom wall so the kids could use it. There were hygienic items and tissues under the beds, and we couldn’t manage to clean underneath. The towels and washing machine smelled, the sofa was stained, and there were other cleaning problems too. I didn’t see cleaning complaints in the reviews here or on booking, which was surprising, so maybe this was our bad luck. We still managed to enjoy the stay by limiting how much we used the apartments. I hope this gets properly addressed in future.
