Kings Lodge

The flowers at the front and side of the hotel looked colourful and beautiful, and gave us something to talk about. My friend and I shared a room last night, and it was spotless with very comfortable beds. Melvin, our host and owner, made us feel extremely welcome. Breakfast was a beautiful full Irish this morning and set us up for the day. It was extremely good value. I’d definitely recommend it and would come back. Keep doing what you’re doing, Melvin 😀

The bedroom was a decent size with an ensuite, and the shower was good. We slept well in the front room, with no traffic noise and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice, service fairly quick, and the staff pleasant. Parking is tight. There were several maintenance problems in our room: only one bathroom downlight worked, more than half the bedroom downlights were out, and the toilet roll holder and a light switch were broken. It’s a decent property, and I’d probably rate it higher if those issues were fixed.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with everything you’d need for your stay. Breakfast was lovely, and the place is excellent value in a great city location. Well worth staying here. I’ll definitely come back.

We chose King's Lodge for three nights last week because it’s close to Kingsbridge Hosp, and it worked out really well. The bus stop is right outside, with a great service into town. Melvin, the proprietor, was friendly and very helpful, cooked us a lovely breakfast every morning, and left water in our room each day. We’ll definitely stay there again. Ruth & Pat Dublin
