The heating was our one small gripe: the vent is near the ceiling, so the room never got as warm as we wanted. Still, the rooms were really clean, the shower was lovely, and breakfast was good. The bar and food area has a nice feel to it, and every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely book here again next time we're in Belfast.

The lobby was really cool, and the hotel is right in the centre of Belfast. Our room was nicely presented too. We arrived well before check-in for our anniversary weekend, so reception kindly stored our bags while we went to get breakfast in town. While we were out, they emailed to say the room was ready, much earlier than expected. When we got upstairs, we found sweet messages written on the mirrors, a pair of socks, and a voucher for two complimentary cocktails. Such a thoughtful touch. The reception staff had been attentive and friendly from the start, and it made the weekend feel special. We'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Belfast.

The hotel itself is lovely and the location is great, but I wouldn't pay extra for breakfast. The buffet was a mess, with trays empty most of the time. At one point, all they had was beans and hash browns. When sausages finally came out, they were barely cooked, mostly white with one brown stripe.

The service was spot-on, and the staff even gave us a welcome cocktail voucher at check-in. I liked the spacious room and the TV had excellent mobile connectivity. There's underground parking, and it's only a five-minute walk to the city centre. I did miss having a proper wardrobe and a desk, though. Breakfast didn't live up to expectations, with few options and dry bread. Still, it was a great stay.

Moxy Belfast City, where did our coat go? We had a good stay and liked being close to the parts of Belfast we wanted to see. The trouble only started after checkout. We were hurrying to catch our flight to Glasgow and left my partner's coat behind. A few hours later, once we had checked into our next hotel, I called reception. They said they wouldn't post lost items, but we could arrange a courier, which I was happy to pay for during our week in Glasgow. I gave them my details and was told I'd get a call back. I didn't. I emailed in case my phone was the problem, but heard nothing. The next day I called again and spoke to someone who didn't know what I meant. They took my phone number and email address, but still didn't get back to me. I already had a courier ready and just needed the hotel to confirm it had the coat. After three days, I got a brief email saying they couldn't find it. I know where I left it. There's a place to hang clothes near the room's front door, but when the door is open it blocks the view of that spot. That's why we missed the coat as we rushed out. It was in the room and should have been safe from anyone taking it, unless it was staff. The whole thing was incredibly frustrating and put an uncomfortable end to our time at the Moxy and in Belfast. It was a good coat, and I know leaving it was my mistake, but the staff seemed to make it harder for us to get it back. Before this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and planned to come back on future visits. Now we'll look for somewhere else, which is a shame. I hope whoever ended up with the coat is enjoying it.
