We went for dinner and the food was amazing, fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and the restaurant itself was well presented with a great atmosphere. It feels like a hidden gem and should have been busier when we visited. More people should know about it, and better access and promotion could help. It’s a fantastic spot, highly recommended.

The food in the restaurant was good, and John was helpful with excellent service. But the chalet was cold because the heating wasn't sufficient, and the mattress was so uncomfortable, with springs coming through, that I didn't sleep well. Breakfast was very expensive too, £8.50 for egg on toast.

My wife and I came in for a meal today. We both had the salmon, which was first class, and the desserts were lovely. Service was good, and we finished with a nice cup of tea.

I booked after filtering for hot tubs on Booking.com, where the hotel's tubs were listed as working. At the hotel, the girl let me pay without mentioning they weren't active. We left straight away, and management never got back to us about a refund. Terrible service from a professional hotel. They should put up a notice for guests or get Booking.com to remove that filter.

The restaurant waitress was so welcoming and helpful, and she told us a lot about the surrounding area. My mum was in her wheelchair when we stopped by today for tea. The setting was lovely too. We'll definitely return, and I've recommended it to the manager of Mum’s residential home, Glendalina on the Springfield Road.
