The Warren Belfast - Unique Accommodation

The room was clean and tidy, with enough space for a small family or three people. The place is easy to get to and in a great spot near Belfast City Centre. The bus stop for trips to and from the centre is only a short walk away. I’d book again in the future!

😍 The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had cornflakes, toast, butter, jams, juice, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk and fruit. The room was warm, with a comfortable bed, lots of TV channels, a kettle, tea bags, coffee sticks, a safe, an iron and a hairdryer. The hotel has no reception, but you get the password and access code for your room keys by email. 🤔 It’s close to the road, so it was noisy. Parking wasn’t free. We paid 8 pounds, and there were no marked parking spaces.

The room was comfortable and the location excellent, but I can’t give a higher rating after the way a food safety concern at The Warren Belfast was handled. The gluten-free bread on the shared breakfast counter was visibly mouldy. I reported it through the hotel’s messaging system. They read my message but didn’t respond. The next morning, the bread had just been removed, with no replacement, so guests with dietary needs had no safe option. Breakfast was included in the final price, so it was part of what I’d paid for, not a minor extra. The explanation I received afterwards didn’t match what had happened. There was no sense of ownership and no compensation offered. It left me concerned about food safety, housekeeping and communication standards.

The self check-in and self-service breakfast worked well, and they replied promptly by email to every question we had. The rooms are lovely, really clean and stylish in a Victorian style. I’d highly recommend the place and would use it again. The tap in our bathroom was a bit flimsy, but that’s a small detail compared with everything else.
