The setting on a farm in a small village was so peaceful, and it made a good base for nearby walks, villages and towns. We spent a week at Brookley Barn and had everything we needed, including a really comfortable bed. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. One fun surprise was the dining table that converts into a pool table. We'll definitely be back, highly recommend it.

There’s plenty to see and do within about 30 minutes, even though the gorgeous barn feels tucked away. The owners were delightful, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The entrance has steps, so it isn't wheelchair accessible. Apart from that, we really liked the modern decor and the clever table that turns into a pool table. There's a farm next door, and you can visit the animals if you get permission.

The view across the rolling Derbyshire meadows was lovely, and guests have plenty of privacy despite the cottage being on a working farm. It's a converted cow shed, with a pretty, boutique feel. Everything was very clean and all amenities were provided. I'd happily recommend it and stay again.

Watching the sheep wander past our accommodation was brilliant, especially for the younger children. The place had fantastic amenities and a lovely setting on a working farm. It's also within easy reach of Bakewell, Matlock Bath and Chatsworth House.
