The Bulls Head

One of the best roasts I've ever had, honestly 10/10 service too. The staff were kind, talked us through the menu and pointed us to the best options. Gorgeous food, and the atmosphere has a lovely luxury pub feel. I've already recommended it to everyone I know nearby and will definitely return. Thank you, Sian, for making such a lovely place to eat! ❤️

The hilltop setting and warm decor made the meal feel especially cosy. We couldn't get out into the garden because of the weather, though that gives us something to do next time. The tapestries, furniture and lighting all worked together beautifully. We had a cheese board and the day's dessert to finish, both made memorable by the local, organic ingredients. Before that came a really good beef roast, cooked with care and made with quality ingredients. The chestnut and cauliflower soup was a lovely start and led into it perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive, checking that we were comfortable and ready to help. The service felt professional throughout. I recommend this pub.

It’s a big pub but still feels cosy, with a great menu, a nice atmosphere and really good service. There’s a strong wine selection, and it’s dog friendly too. Shame it’s not closer to the centre, but it’s worth the trip out.

A year later, we came back and the landlady remembered exactly where we sat and that we'd ordered fish and chips. Such a lovely welcome. We tried different dishes this time, steak and Beef Bourguignon, then chocolate mousse with a Brandy Snap and a meringue nest with cream and raspberry coolie. The food was amazing again. We’ll be back next year, believe me.
