Crab and Lobster Inn

We were away for a girls’ weekend and stopped at this pub for lunch during a long walk. The food was wonderful: delicious fish pie, a lovely burger with a generous homemade patty, toad in the hole with large sausages, and apple crumble for dessert. The landlord was welcoming and had a good laugh with us throughout our visit. We’ll definitely come back next year for another delicious lunch. Thank you!

The meal was fresh and delicious, and we’ll happily come back next time we’re on the Island. We first dropped in around midday for a drink in the sunshine, but the warm welcome from Bruce and the cozy smell inside convinced us to return for dinner. Our dogs were welcome too, and there’s even a dog menu. In the evening Bruce greeted us again. When I asked to move away from the busy area, he was glad to help and tried to find us somewhere quieter, which was especially kind while I’m going through chemo. Everyone working there was friendly.

We had a fresh lobster and it was delicious. The staff were just as good: they were incredibly helpful with our lively 18-month-old and excitable Labrador during our family meal. I’d recommend them without hesitation.

We decided on the spur of the moment to stop here for lunch, though it had been years since my last visit. The two front-of-house guys were friendly, attentive and really helpful. The food was lovely, and the quality of both food and drinks was spot on for the reasonable prices. We also got the residents’ discount through the IOW pub app. A lovely afternoon, and well worth stopping by.
