We spent two lovely nights in the Superior suite, from Sept 7th-9th. It was so peaceful that, after London, I slept like a log. The harbour views were lovely, and we caught a beautiful sunset on our first evening. The room felt like home and had everything we needed. That jacuzzi bath is out of this world, just go easy on the bubble bath! Tony gave us a very friendly welcome and offered tea and a cream scone. We’ll definitely come back.

Tony and Diane were lovely hosts who made sure we had what we needed, with really personal service. We had the boat to ourselves for a night, which made for a romantic stay for my wife and me. The accommodation was clean, and the open windows brought in a gentle breeze on a hot day. There’s a private beach about 8-10 minutes away on foot, and we preferred its quiet to the busy beaches at sandown or shanklin. Two nearby bus stops make it easy to get around isle of Wight, though you need to keep an eye on the schedule so you don’t miss a bus. We could bring food in, although cooking isn’t allowed. It was a magnificent stay, and we’ll always remember our time here.

We spent a week at Harbourside View for my 60th birthday, and Tony and Diane made us feel special and part of the family. They were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The houseboat itself is amazing, with ever-changing views over the tidal harbours, activity around the approaches to Portsmouth and Southampton, and wildlife coming right up beside it. Our room was immaculate and first rate, with a fridge for our use, the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in, a huge walk-in shower, and an awesome double jacuzzi bath. Breakfast, cooked to order in the "open galley mess", was the best. Thank you both so much.

We’ve already booked the same room for next year. The Superior room was spacious, with a fabulous view and furniture that was elegant but still comfortable. It really felt like home. The hosts were great, as were the breakfast and location. Pubs, shops and restaurants are an easy walk away.

We stayed in the fantastic Diana room, a good-sized space with its own decking. The harbour view is a lovely bonus, and the inside is decorated to a 5 star standard. The houseboat looks impressive from outside too. The friendly hosts made us feel welcome. It’s easy to find, with allocated parking or the No8 bus from Ryde. Bembridge has plenty to offer and makes a great base for exploring the island. Keep an eye out for the open top buses.
