We stayed in the newly refurbished annex, the loft room, and found it very comfortable. The pub is in a charming, picturesque village, and the building itself dates from the 16th century. Staff service was excellent. We didn’t have an evening meal, but breakfast was really good and clearly locally sourced. We’d definitely stay there again if we’re in the area.

I was a little unsure what to expect when I first came in, but the food completely exceeded my expectations. The chefs were top notch, the staff were polite, and I even had a nice chat with another diner. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was perfect, amazingly fresh and locally sourced. The hotel and pub have a picturesque view and a great location, right beside a stream and a museum. The rooms were clean and furnished, with nearly new en-suite toilets. The staff were really helpful, and Jackie was especially welcoming. I’d highly recommend staying here.

A friendly local lady was behind the bar at this nice little country pub, tucked just off the road in Berriew. There’s a decent choice of food at reasonable prices, and we enjoyed what we ate. I only stopped in for a drink, so can’t comment on the rooms.

I’ve been coming to this pub regularly for just under three years, and it’s perfect, a definite 5/5. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The Sunday lunches are the best, and “generous” doesn’t really do the portions justice. I haven’t stayed in the rooms yet, but I might so I can try the Full English. It looks fab.
