We had such a cozy, welcoming stay at the Manor House Hotel on Holy Island. After a long coastal walk, it was lovely to relax there with a few beers. The food was outstanding and the servings were huge. My husband had black pudding croquettes, while I chose the fish cream soup. I don’t usually like fish or cream soups, but this one was delicious. The burgers were enormous, and we couldn’t finish the sides. We also discovered Tide, the local beer, which tasted great in that setting. Friendly atmosphere and top-notch food, we’d happily return.

It’s a pricey place, but if you can afford the premium, I think it’s worth it. The location is one of the best for any hotel, just steps from the abbey ruins, and the staff are wonderful. There’s a good choice of beers, the rooms are nice and the views are amazing. Food was the weak spot when we visited off season: it was okay and average in quality, while everything else was exceptional.

The food was superb and the bed was really comfortable. Every member of staff was exceptionally lovely, and we felt welcomed and well cared for throughout. I didn’t want to leave and go back to London. What a magnificent, special place. ❤️

Free parking was a real bonus, and breakfast was fab. I had a fantastic stay at the Manor House Hotel. The service was warm, kind, gracious and professional, and made the visit feel special. I was delighted by an unexpected upgrade: the room was elegant and atmospheric, with lovely views. The location was perfect too. I’ll definitely book here again.

The pub food was lovely, fresh and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel could be great, but our room needs a thorough clean and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. We’d booked a sea-view room online but were given a double room facing the rear. On arrival, the heating and water were off, so we couldn’t wash before heading out. We were promised a 50% refund but received only £50. The place was understaffed, though that wasn’t their fault.
