It's a quiet place with clean rooms, a comfortable bed and a great night's sleep. The village centre is 1km away, and there's a bus stop nearby for the Sherpa bus to Snowden. We left early to climb Snowden on our first morning and missed breakfast, but they packed us an excellent lunch instead. The next morning we had a full English with porridge, fruit and toast. Definitely recommend.

The four of us had a wonderful stay in this lovely period house B&B. John and Colin were fantastic hosts, full of local knowledge and helpful tips for walks, restaurants and activities. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. It's ideally placed, just a five-minute walk from the village centre, and their amazing 4-course breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Colin was a friendly host who was always glad to talk about nearby attractions. His recommendations helped us visit a variety of places and make the most of our stay. The clean house was decorated beautifully in a style from previous centuries, which we found enchanting. Each morning there was a delicious, filling breakfast. It's close to the picturesque village and some of the best hiking paths. A beautiful place.

We had everything we needed in our lovely, clean room during our two-night stay. The breakfast was amazing, and the hosts looked after us so well that we felt very safe in regards to covid. I'd really recommend staying here.
