Barmston Farm

Dana and her family made us feel so welcome, and took time to help our daughter feel at home too. We all got to meet their lovely animals, which was a highlight. We stayed in Otter Cottage, and some of our family were in Fox Cottage. Both made for a lovely visit. The cottages are cosy, comfortable and well furnished, with amenities and the coast only a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone thinking of booking. Bella's petting farm, the lovely walks and all the wildlife make Barmston Farm a great place to visit even if you don't fish. The fishing is good too, and as someone said, if you can't catch anything, take up golf! Since taking over, Dana and Zane have made an amazing amount of changes in a short time. The entrance looks lovely, the new lodges are beautiful, and Dana's touches show throughout. From the first time I met them, they seemed like two of the nicest, friendliest people you could meet. The staff are friendly as well. We left feeling like friends and are already due back in seven weeks. I could go on, but you really need to see the place and stay for yourself. We've been coming here for years because it's such a peaceful, idyllic spot. The accommodation is great, the fishing is fabulous, and the people are lovely. A little hidden gem, highly recommended if you want some quiet.

The children loved getting back to nature and playing with their friends, and they had a great time feeding the alpacas, chickens and adorable sheep. The playground and games room are superb, and the lake and walks are so peaceful. Barmston Farm is private and quiet, with lovely accommodation that feels top end and luxurious. We also had some fantastic days out in the beautiful area. Dana and Zane made us feel welcome and did everything to help us have a wonderful holiday. Many thanks from Australia!
