The hosts were so accommodating when we asked for an early check-in and a late return, and we’ll be back next year. The house has lovely decor and all the expected amenities, with thoughtful extras like fresh milk in the room for tea and coffee. The homemade biscuits were delicious, too, and the views across the hills are tremendous.

Jill & Rupert make this charming house even more special. It’s in a beautiful spot, full of character, and the breakfast was exquisite.

I’ve been back to Dowfold a few times, and the rooms are always comfortable with lovely extra touches. Jill and Rupert are excellent hosts, and breakfast is amazing every time. Their homemade jam is delicious, too. It’s also a bonus that I can charge my EV there for a very reasonable price.

Jill and Rupert were amazing hosts, and Dowfold House is beautiful. We also really appreciated the extra treats, including afternoon tea with cake and cucumbers to take home. Breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day. We had a wonderful stay.

We spent the weekend here, and it was absolutely lovely. The hosts are some of the nicest people, and breakfast was delicious. Our room and ensuite were spotless, and the shower in the Red Room was outstanding.
