The food was among the best. They cater to anything, and it arrives quickly, hot, and tasting amazing. Staff were polite, always smiling, chatty, and really listened. Rooms were clean, smelled nice, and did the job well. The building maintenance was a little lacking, though it’s an old house, so that was expected. It’s a very well priced place to stay. Places like this are disappearing fast because of mainstream hotels, so give them a try and support local small businesses.

We booked for 14 people to celebrate a 50th birthday, and had a wonderful two-night stay. The owners and staff were so helpful, arranging a room where our family could be together. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was very friendly. The rooms were comfortable and well catered. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices.

The breakfasts came hot and very quickly, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and lots of fun. We stayed three nights. The room and en-suite bathroom were spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. I’d definitely return and have already recommended it to family nearby.

We stayed in the new family room, which was spacious, comfortable, and very private. There were plenty of guest parking spaces, the town was lovely, and breakfast was great. Excellent stay, and we’d recommend it and come back.

Leave the car at pilgrims and walk the five minutes into town, where parking is a nightmare. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the management’s character and impromptu entertainment made us laugh. Excellent value, a first-class breakfast, and a great stay. It’s a must, and I’d definitely come again. Cheers, Rick.
