The hotel was being refurbished while my husband and I stayed for two nights for the races. The receptionist was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We had a spacious, clean room with a very comfy bed and a great shower. Tea and coffee facilities, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer were all there. Breakfast wasn't included, but that was fine. The location was excellent, just a two-minute walk to the town centre. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next year.

We'd definitely stay again. The hotel is right in central Beverly, close to the shops and bars. Our room was in the outside annex, which felt private, and it was large and well equipped with tea and coffee facilities. There was hot water and a decent shower. The only thing I noticed was several marks on the carpet, but they didn't spoil our stay.

I booked the hotel as a birthday treat for my husband, paying extra for a four-poster room and early check-in. When we arrived in November, with 10 degrees outside, the room was freezing. There were no radiators on anywhere in the hotel. We called reception three times to get it sorted, but nothing happened and nobody called us back. We left and went home. We had a restaurant table booked but had to cancel. Our time is precious, and we'd wasted a day travelling and let several people down. I'm extremely disgusted with the service. Edited: don't book here. They won't provide the service you've paid for!

Angie met us when we arrived and showed us to our rooms. She explained what to do if a key didn't work, and her smile and hospitality made her the star of the day. The rooms were clean, warm and welcoming.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are lovely. Residents can use the free parking, with around 12 spaces. Don't be put off by the front of the hotel, it's being updated. The entrance is round the back. I'll definitely stay again.
