The wildlife and beautiful setting made this a great week for everyone, including the person in our group who isn’t into fishing but loved the animals and the area. We stayed in a caravan at Shatterford lakes, and the fishery is the best I’ve visited so far. One of us landed a PB at 22lb 2oz, a catch we’ll remember. It was an awesome experience and we’ll be back. Hats off to you for creating such a special place. I’ll recommend it to everyone!

The fish are beautiful and the weights are impressive, but the people are a big part of what makes this place great. Everyone fishing here was really nice. Tom, who runs the fishery, is a kind gentleman and fantastic to deal with. He’ll help however he can, and there are washing facilities and even a shower. Come see for yourself.

The house was spotless and had everything we could need for my 40th birthday weekend. Fishing was great and we caught lots, even with the poor weather. Couldn’t recommend it more. We’ll be back soon.

The views and the site itself really impressed me during an overnight session on Stella lake. Tom, the owner, is a top bloke, and his advice on where to fish paid off: I caught two carp, both in mint condition. I’ll definitely return for a longer session.

The caravan had incredible views, a lovely place to wind down after fishing, and check-in and check-out times were very convenient. The whole stay felt easygoing. The setting is so peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful, which took the stress away as soon as we arrived. Tom made us feel welcome straight away and encouraged us to treat the place like our own, so it felt relaxed and homely. The fishing had a good range and quality, and Tom was always around with useful advice, especially helpful if you’re new to fishing or want to improve. The other guests were friendly and supportive, happy to chat or share tips around the lake. It felt like a little fishing family. We also enjoyed the animals, who were friendly but gave us space. The llamas, donkeys, sheep, goats and hens added to the charm, and seeing the beautiful eagle was a real treat. It was my son’s birthday, and he caught his PB, so he enjoyed getting a soaking! Brilliant experience. We can’t wait to come back.
