I spent a week there and had a satisfactory stay. It was a cheap enough B&B, handy for work in that part of the world. The owners are an interesting family, and you'll see them around. The owner is ex navy, salty is probably the best way to describe him. He's deaf as a post, so you may hear his TV, but you can ask him to turn it down. Breakfast is massive, parking is on the front drive, and I was left to come and go as I pleased, drink beer and eat takeaways. Then I left at the end of the week.

This place was a shambles, with no effort made for guests. It wasn't made clear that the rooms shared a bathroom, and there were no towels or toiletries. The room had a kettle but no coffee or cups. Although they call themselves a B&B, they didn't appear to serve breakfast. They took my money on the last day but didn't ask whether the stay had been okay. Nobody was around on three of the mornings, and on the second last day the room wasn't cleaned: the bin was still full and the beds hadn't been made. Extremely disappointing.

We walked in and walked back out five minutes later. The place was dated, dirty and unpleasant. The owner has been rude and has no manners with guests. After I left, he texted wanting to visit my home to see how I live, and he continued sending rude messages because I didn't stay. I accidentally pressed a star and can't remove it; even one star would be too generous. He charged my bank card after I walked out. My bank refunded the money and is investigating fraud. Three weeks later, I'm still getting texts from this rude man. He now says he took my address from the booking page and will come to view my home next week to see how I live. I don't run my home as a business or charge people to stay, and it's still nicer and cleaner than this b n b. The police are now involved.

The room had everything I needed and was clean and tidy, and there was parking for several cars both on and off the road. I’d read some less positive reviews, but my stay was pleasant. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and check-in was quick. Good value, and I’d stay again.

We arrived, saw how disgusting the place was, and panicked that we’d have to stay there. We spent about 20 minutes calling around for somewhere else, then left. We never asked to pay. My partner didn’t speak to them when we left, but their TripAdvisor response threatened to call the police and called us weird, which felt like an attempt to discredit a bad review. They know how disgusting their place is. I hadn’t checked TripAdvisor for 18 months; the rude reply is the only reason I’m writing now. I wouldn’t stay there for free. A tent or cattle shed would be better.
