I used to live here and recently stayed in one of the holiday lets. The grounds are lovely and well kept, and pets are allowed on the estate, unlike at many similar places. Some properties have been converted from the old military base, so make sure to air them out thoroughly. Otherwise, condensation can be an issue with the listed single-glazed windows.

We spent a week on vacation in the Sergeants Quarters. Many of the buildings have been restored, and the additional new ones fit in sympathetically. There's an incredible playing field with a running track, baseball diamond, basketball hoop and more. Bicester has plenty to do, from the outlets to a livelier town centre. I'd recommend a visit.

No washing lines are allowed, which makes this a pretty eco-unfriendly place to live in Bicester. The two stars are for the low lighting at night.

A peaceful spot in beautifully refurbished military quarters, close to Bicester Heritage. Local buses run to Bicester, Oxford, Brackley and Milton Keynes.
