Despite the gale-force winds when we arrived, our anniversary stay made a lovely impression. The sea was so close and stormy that it added unforgettable drama. Sarah and Donal checked us in; our room was clean, inviting and stocked with complimentary snacks, tea and coffee. The shower was awesome. We had a light supper in the bar, where the service was friendly and helpful. Martin kept our drinks coming for the rest of the evening behind the bar. We slept cosily despite the tempest outside, and really enjoyed breakfast too. We definitely want to come again. Thanks for a memorable time.

We arrived at the pub after a fantastic walk and discovered it was the incumbent landlord's 10th anniversary. The place was packed, everyone was in high spirits, and a really good session was underway. It made for a great night.

The coastal walk with a friend was breathtaking. I'd never been to Hartland before, having moved to Devon only nine months ago, and the scenery blew me away. Afterwards we stopped at the Hartland Quay Hotel for a drink, and that place was just as beautiful. The barman joked that they were out of Crabbies Ginger Beer and had the bottle there just for display. I fell for it, and everyone laughed. The staff were brilliant, friendly and funny. I could have stayed for ever, and there's a fantastic range of drinks, from tea and coffee to something stronger. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommend.

It's a lovely little pub and hotel on the cliff edge, beside a small quay and rocky bay. The roads down are very steep and narrow. I'd use the upper grass car parks, since the lower one is small and usually crowded.

The coastline views are awesome, and this is a stunning place to stay. Our room was lovely and very clean. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my need for gluten-free food. I'd highly recommend it.
