The cottage was beautiful, and the whole stay was so relaxing. I loved the comfy sofa and bed, the sound system and the coffee machine. Breakfast arrived in a hamper each day, and it was delicious and such a lovely touch. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, with great suggestions for things to do. We had fish and chips on the second night and ate in the pub the first night, both meals were exceptional. Probably one of the nicest places I’ve stayed, and a perfect spot to unwind.
Our children and grandchildren gave us this stay for our 70th birthdays, and my wife and I had a really special time. From check-in to check-out, including exploring Birch Farm and Woolfardisworthy and having dinner and breakfast, everything was wonderful. The attention to detail was extraordinary, with friendly greetings everywhere and memorable tasting menu dishes, snacks and treats. We can’t wait to return! The only small thing to improve was breakfast delivery to the cottage: it had gone cool by the time it arrived. That was minor in the scheme of things. Thank you, Collective. Keep doing what you do so well!
We stayed in suite 1, and some dramatic coastal walks were just 15 minutes away by car. The room was thoughtful and tasteful, and every bite we had felt special, delicious and locally sourced, from the breakfast hamper to dinner at the Farmers Arms. All the staff were incredibly friendly. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it.
We loved the beautiful suite and its shared terrace, which was a great place to eat breakfast. The tasting menu at The Farmers Arms was superb, and the staff were friendly and knew the area well. Everything about our stay was exceptional. Thank you, we hope to come back!
We celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary in Suite 1 and had dinner at the restaurant. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the waiting staff were lovely and knew each course inside out. Dinner was spectacular, one of the best meals I’ve had, even compared with a few Michelin restaurants I’ve visited. At £75 per head, I thought it was very good value for a restaurant of this standard. Breakfast was served to our room the next morning and was excellent too. We’ll be back for sure!
