I had a good holiday, but I wouldn’t come back to this cottage. The owners’ remarks afterwards left me very disappointed. I’d booked four nights because it was pet friendly, though I stayed for three. Even though I’d already paid in full, I was asked for another £150 two days before arrival, and I paid it. I’d said on booking.com that I was bringing two dogs, but that didn’t seem to be taken into account. The day after I left, an email complained about dog hair on the bed. My dogs slept in the living room on their own beds and never went into the bedrooms, so I suspect the hair was from my pyjamas on the bed I used. They also mentioned biscuit crumbs on the carpet, which may have come from me eating crackers and cheese while watching TV. I left the house as I’d found it, apart from vacuuming the carpet.
